How Many Flyers Do I Need for an Event?

The honest answer is that it depends entirely on how the flyers reach people. Work from the distribution method, not a round number.
For a door drop, count the letterboxes on your route on a map, then add 15% for damaged sheets and misjudged streets. A typical urban residential street has 40–80 households.
For a market stall or shopfront handout, plan on 300–500 for a busy weekend. Footfall varies, but you will hand out fewer than you expect — many people wave you off.
For an event with a known guest list, order one per confirmed attendee plus 20%. People take a second for a friend, and some get dropped.
When in doubt, order the next quantity band up. The per-unit price drops sharply with volume, so 500 flyers often costs only a little more than 250, and leftover flyers keep for the next event.
